AFFILIATION
Unions empower workers to secure fair treatment, safe jobs, and family-sustaining wages. Through Central Labor Councils, they unite across sectors to tackle contract disputes, elections, and legislative issues for a brighter future.
AFFILIATION MATTERS
Joining the North Shore Federation of Labor strengthens a union’s ability to advocate for its members and build solidarity across diverse industries. As a central body of union affiliates, the Federation amplifies collective power by uniting workers from various sectors to address shared challenges, from contract negotiations to political advocacy. Membership fosters collaboration, allowing unions to learn from one another, coordinate on campaigns, and support each other during disputes or strikes. By joining forces, unions can achieve victories that would be difficult alone, ensuring fair treatment, better wages, and stronger protections for all workers in our region. The Federation also creates opportunities for leadership development, community engagement, and shaping a united labor movement that benefits the broader working class. Join Ohio's largest central labor council!

ABOUT AFFILIATION
Affiliates are afforded delegates based on the size of their local. Delegates are asked to attend monthly Delegate Meetings, held the second Wednesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. at the Laborers' Local 310 Building, Lower Level Hall, 3250 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44115.
Affiliates pay $0.50 per-member, per-month to be part of the organization. The per capita allows us to support organizing and contract campaigns, member education, solidarity-building events, and more. Per capita is not used to support political candidates. Delegates are invited to serve on our committees, which drive the direction of the organization.
