COMMITTEES
North Shore AFL-CIO standing committees collaboratively drive initiatives to strengthen labor unity, advocate for workers' rights, and advance the goals of the labor movement.
The following committees are established through the Constitution and Bylaws. The President, with Central Body approval, may create other committees as necessary or advisable. Committees are composed of Executive Board members, Central Body delegates and such other members from affiliated organizations as the President appoints.
Committee members, with the exception of the Committee on Political Education (COPE), shall be appointed by the President, subject to the approval of the Executive Board. Any unresolved appointment dispute between the President and Executive Board shall be resolved by the Central Body delegates at the next regularly scheduled meeting.
