Cleveland’s Workers First Initiative on AI

How Is AI Impacting Your Work?

Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing workplaces across nearly every industry. From scheduling software and hiring algorithms to workplace surveillance, automation, and generative AI tools, workers are experiencing the effects of AI in new and often unexpected ways.

The North Shore AFL-CIO is partnering with Brown University researcher Sonya Rashkovan to better understand how AI is affecting workers, jobs, workplaces, and overall well-being. Through one-on-one conversations with workers across Northeast Ohio, this research aims to ensure that workers' experiences and perspectives remain central to discussions about the future of work.

We are seeking workers who are willing to share how AI is showing up in their workplace, how it is affecting their jobs, and how they are adapting, responding, organizing, or pushing back against these changes.

Conversations take approximately 60 minutes and can be conducted either in person or virtually.

Your experience can help inform worker-centered research and contribute to building policies and workplace practices that put people first.
